I was bored the other day and threw another HD in my computer...Reformatted the whole thing to remove whatever crap my sister put on that and transfered all the game's files over to the new drive. Now I'm not sure but someone might know. My OS is on C: and game runs from F: (new). If my C: OS crashes, files on F: shouldnt be affected right? Therefore, even if my POS computer crashes, FF wont have to be reinstalled and that damn 7 hour update from hell. Just a thought.

tj, you want to make sure you grab the FFXI registry entry and back it up on your F drive, if you don't do that you have to do 2 things if your HDD crashes, install all the disks again, copy over your folder with your old FFXI data, and then check every file, which all in all takes about 4 hours
